Golden Gate Running Club has two regularly scheduled runs in San Francisco:
Wednesday @ 7pm | Kezar Stadium [ map ]
Join us for speed work! We meet halfway down the home stretch – or, at the East entrance of Kezar, when the track is closed.
Our track runners range from Boston qualifiers to people who have never run on a track before. All are welcome, and anyone can get faster and stronger through regular speed work. All workouts begin with a warm-up and finish with a cool-down. Afterwards, there is usually a group that goes out to grab dinner!
Sunday Trail and Road Runs
Sunday @ 10am | Warming Hut (Crissy Field) [ map ]
Every Sunday, we meet at Crissy Field in San Francisco at 10 AM — plenty of time to recover from your Saturday night. Typically, GGRC’ers cover anywhere from four to twenty miles, at anywhere from a seven to ten minute mile pace. Before the run, we discuss distance and pace so newbies can find appropriate running buddies.
Directions: If you’re driving, take Marina Street down past the Marina and bear right onto Mason Street as you continue to Crissy Field; take it all the way down to the end, and you’ll see the Warming Hut building.
If you show up at 10 a.m. sharp and there’s nobody there yet, just be patient; the club normally gathers between 10 and 10:10, but we almost always leave by 10:15.
